This Ukiyo-e entitled "Satu Lagi"
which is popular Indonesian phrase for "another one" was an
concept about a patron who
cannot figure out when "enough is enough" at a Japanese bar.
The Japanese watercolor illustration depicts many messages whereas the theme is
about the tired waitresses that need to knock-out this over-staying bad habit soon
they can leave the bar they worked hard in all day and into the wee hours of the night.
The kimono patterns were from designs that were sketched while
brainstorming at the
tavern.
This Ukiyo-e watercolor painting is 30"x 22"
and was painted with watercolors on paper. This project took
over 50 hours to complete, and a lot of Satu Lagis!.
