was revised from an earlier project that was painted back
in 1997.
The Japanese watercolor illustration depicts 2
Japanese women from 2 famous ukiyo-e created by
Kitagawa Utamaro.
The kimono patterns on Japanese Beauties were from designs that were sketched while
brainstorming at a
tavern and from a
old ukiyo-e print.
This Japanese Beauties Ukiyo-e watercolor painting is 18"x 24"and was painted with watercolors on paper.
Japanese Beauties took
over 8 hours to complete.
